About: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a prequal to the Hunger Games, it’s about the life of Coriolanus Snow – the president of Panem in the Hunger Games books- and how he became the person that he is .On the day of the 10th annual Hunger games Coriolanus is chosen to be a mentor for one of the tributes if his tribute did well then he would be rewarded .The only problem is he got the girl tribute from District 12 ,the worst district ,.And now he has to do whatever it takes to keep her alive a win the games .
Why should you read it? Its a great book especially for people who enjoyed reading the Hunger Games books .The Ballad of Songbirds of Snakes is well-written realistic and has a great story .I really recommend it !
Age rating Probably around10-12 + as it contains drinking and a few other things like that but its mostly fine .I recommend reading the Hunger Games books first and if you can read that then this book is perfectly fine for you.
